Types of Funeral Services
Traditional

Friends and family are invited to visit the funeral home to pay their respects to the deceased and offer condolences to the family.  Visitation provides time for sharing and remembrance and is followed by a ceremony at a place of worship or in our chapel.  Following the funeral ceremony, the deceased is transported to the place of their final rest.  This style of funeral begins with a service at a church or funeral chapel, followed by a procession to the cemetery where there is a final committal ceremony.

Graveside Service

The service is held at the graveside before the body is buried. No church or chapel service for deceased. Services can be arranged with or without visitation. Friends and family may be invited to visit the funeral home to pay their respects and offer condolences on the day before or the day of the service.   After visitation, the only ceremony would take place at the place of final rest.

Direct Cremation

This is a form of disposition, and includes no ceremonies or rites.  Services include transportation and care of the body.  The deceased is cremated as soon as possible without formal services, upon completion of all necessary paperwork and required documents.

Direct Burial

Includes transportation and care of the body.  The body is buried shortly after death usually in a casket or simple burial container.  There is no viewing or visitation and no service of any kind.

Memorial Service

A memorial service takes place after a private burial or cremation at any of the places referred to above.  A memorial service is conducted in memory of the person without the presence of the deceased.

Private Service

Services are by invitation only.

Visitation or Viewing

A scheduled period of time in which typically friends and family may come and go in order to pay their final respects. Usually held at the Funeral Home.
